Current profile. Dr. Junaedy Ganie has been a practicing arbitrator since 2007, as chairman, sole arbitrator and member in numerous arbitration tribunals including ad-hoc arbitration and UNCITRAL based disputes. He is currently a registered arbitrator at:

1. LCIA (The London Court of International Arbitration)
2. BANI Arbitration Center (for all kinds of commercial disputes);
3. LAPS SJK (Arbitration & Alternative Dispute Resolution for Financial Services - Insurance, Banking, Capital Market and other Non-Bank Financial Institutions);
4. BIAMC (Bali International Arbitration & Mediation Center)

He is also involved in various ad-hoc arbitration tribunals including UNCITRAL based cases. 

Senior Partner and Co-Founder of Ganie, Wildan & Partners (GWP), an Indonesian law firm.  

As a professional, Dr. Ganie is an Independent Commissioner (member of the Board of Supervisory) at Allianz Indonesia for General, Life and Pension companies.

Past experiences as a risk manager and insurance broker to a number of diversified major corporations such as in banking and finance, petrochemical, heavy industry, mining, oil and gas, telecommunication and aviation clients, have enriched his understanding of their respective business nature, a valuable background to his role as an arbitrator.

Beyond legal services and insurance, he is an entrepreneur, a business leader and an M&A consultant. As an entrepreneur, his experiences include involvement in logistic, coal terminal, rare mineral, small scale palm oil plantation, fuel distribution and insurance brokerage.

Education. A Doctor in Business Law, from University of Padjadjaran (UNPAD) in Bandung, Indonesia. Earlier education includes business administration (De Montfort), economics (UNSRI/UNKRIS), and Management Development Program (INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France).

Professional qualifications. Member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Fellow of BANI Chartered Arbitrator, Fellow of Indonesian Institute of Arbitrators, Fellow & Certified Insurance Practitioner, both from Australian & New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, Fellow of the Indonesian Insurance Institute (HC), Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, Fellow of Indonesian Insurance Risk Management.

Past career path. Most recently as Chairman of Pertamina Subholding in Integrated Marine Logistics (Shipping, Terminal, Marine Services) to October 2022. Junaedy was the CEO of BNI Life for 3 years to 2014 and was responsible for its successful corporate-wide transformation and joint venture establishment with Sumitomo Life. Prior to which he was mostly been with US based/affiliated insurers and insurance brokers including Aon Indonesia (which he co-founded and managed as its CEO for 16 years until 2008). He was also engaged in a number of senior posts in Lippo Group.

Personals.  Junaedy lives in Jakarta, Indonesia, married and have 3 children.
